Another Winner for BPP Professional Education
Jane Wiggins, BIFM Business Manager and principal tutor at BPP Profession Education is proud to add her congratulations to BPP student Paul White who was awarded the BIFM Student of the Year 2007 at the BIFM Annual Gala Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor Hotel on 8th October 2007.

Paul White obtained two distinctions and one credit in the June 2007 BIFM Part 1 examinations after joining the distance learning study programme in July 2006. Paul works at RAF Henlow in Bedfordshire as a Project Manager. He has been an exemplary and diligent student submitting many practice papers for guidance. He also attended the May Revision Workshop in London. Jane is pleased to advise that Paul is continuing with his studies with BPP to sit the Part II exams in 2007/8. Paul's comments

Jane comments its fantastic to see the students efforts rewarded at the Gala Dinner. Our former students, Alison Cousins and Judi Hall raised our awareness of the Awards, winning in 2004 and 2006 respectively. With over 100 students on our homestudy programme at any one time, its important to give them the best advice and support to help them achieve success in the national examinations. Whilst its tough to sit the complete set of examinations in one sitting, knowing that you may get the Award, can give that extra incentive to a student to really excel in their ability to respond to the Examiners tough questions.

BPPs pass rates continue to be excellent, with the recent June series achieving a 97% pass rate for the Part I examinations and an 88% for the Part II examinations.

Revision workshops are scheduled for 31st October in Manchester, 7th and 21st November in London and 26th November in Birmingham. These workshops are open to all students, including self-study. For enquiries and bookings, please visit www.hr.bpp.com/bifm/ or call 0208 253 6150

BIFM Certificate Presentations at the AGM on 24th September 2007
BIFM Completed Part 1 and Part 2 Students were presented with copies of their certificates at the AGM on 24th September at Barclays Bank plc Canary Wharf Headquarters. Valerie Everitt, Director of Professional Standards and Education at the BIFM gave a short presentation to the membership about the value of the Examination Certificate and the work and effort involved by working FMs in achieving successful completion of the three exams at Part 1 and the four exams at Part 2. Each student was presented their certificate by Ian Felder, the BIFM CEO.

BPP students collecting their certificate included Kem Eze, Karmian Wright, Rishi Sharma, Allison Cook, Mark Cheeseman, and Natasha McFadzean.

The presentation at the AGM gives an even greater recognition to this achievement, and we hope that the BIFM will continue to use this event in future years for student certificate presentations.

Attendees of the event also enjoyed an amusing yet alarming presentation by the futurist Dr James Bellini, as he gave us an insight into the nature of the built environment and the workplace of the future.
